Friends of the Children - Eastern Montana Selected as 2025 Big Sky Bird & Birdie Recipient

We're thrilled to announce that Friends of the Children - Eastern Montana has been selected as the 2025 recipient of the Big Sky Bird & Birdie tournament, one of our community's most respected and long-standing fundraising events.

For 14 years, the Big Sky Bird & Birdie has brought together Billings-area philanthropists, businesses, and community members with a shared commitment to supporting local organizations that help kids and veterans. This dedicated group has raised over $355,000, making a tangible difference in the lives of countless individuals and families throughout Eastern Montana.

This year's event spans two days:

  • Wednesday, September 24: Social gathering at High Horse Saloon (6-9 PM)
  • Thursday, September 25: Main tournament featuring clay shooting at Blue Creek Sport Shooting Complex & Preserve (8-11 AM) and golf at Briarwood Golf Course (1-6 PM)

Our Executive Director Nina Hernandez will be attending both days to represent our organization and connect with participants who share our commitment to supporting local youth.

We're honored to be part of this community tradition and grateful to the dedicated organizers who have built something truly special over the past 14 years. Their commitment to supporting local kids aligns perfectly with our mission, and we look forward to connecting with fellow community members who believe in the power of relationships to change lives.

Thank you to the Big Sky Bird & Birdie for this incredible honor, and thank you to our supporters who make our daily work possible. Together, we're proving that when communities invest in their children with consistency and intention, amazing things happen!
