Staff: Walter Runsabove

Walter is an enrolled member of the Northern Cheyenne people as well as an affiliate of the Oglala Lakota and Hudesana Nakoda. Walter resides in Billings Montana and has over 10 years of experience working with students to build leadership skills and understanding cultural awareness. Walter also works with educators on cultural sensitivity in helping to assist in building awareness with our underserved populations such as rural and native communities to achieve retention efforts and graduation rates. Walter is now a Friend with Friends of the Children and is passionate about the underserved and creating a successful environment where people may learn and grow.

Singing, dancing, coaching, and visiting are some of the things Walter likes to do with friends, family, and relatives. He also enjoys spending time with his wife Kassie, and three children, Cactus, Abbilee, and Ivy.
